ELO

Who here likes Electric Light Orchestra?
I was recently going through my fathers old LP's, and I found several records of theirs.  I have always been a fan of theirs, but the stuff I found is stuff I've never heared before and it sounds cool.

They're one of the bands that sound quite good, but are liked far too much by my dad. I want to keep some difference between my record collection and his. ;D

I always liked ELO. A brilliant concept well-performed. Their live shows were fantastic. I keep intending to hunt round for a video or DVD of one particular concert at the Albert Hall in London. I think this might have been their last big concert before some members left & the band split. It was shown on TV several times but unfortuately this was before I had a VCR. I have some of their albums on vinyl but haven't seen or thought about them for years.

I've heard good reviews of ELO2. They performed locally quite recently but I wasn't tempted to go & see them.

I feel that they don't get the respect they should.
A original "concept" band in my opinion. In thier heyday it was a completly unique sound and still sounds fresh today!
I have yet to hear anything from ELO2 but will look around for it.
It is just so hard to find decent music in the stores anymore ;)

I know what you mean.  I can't find any good jazz anywhere
