None. Though Pink Floyd might have influenced the music I hear today (progressive rock), I can't get used to them at all.

"Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving With a Pict". It's from the "Ummagumma" album.

That whole album is one of my favorites, and I believe it was my first Floyd album, I picked it up on CD a while back, think I will listen to it on the way to work this morning.

nobody likes "Bike"?

I've got a bike you can ride it if you like
its got a basket a bell, it rings
and things to make it look good
i'd give it to you if I could, but I borrowed it

chorus

I've got a cloak its a bit of a joke
its got a tear in the front, its red and black
I've had it for months
If you think it should look good, then I think it should

chorus

I know a mouse and he hasn't got a house
I dont know why I call him Gerald
He's getting wrather old but hes a good mouse

these have got to be the best lyrics written by someone on acid ever!

If you think those are good then you should listen to more of Barretts stuff. Effervescing Elephant is a favorite of mine...

An Effervescing Elephant
with tiny eyes and great big trunk
once whispered to the tiny ear
the ear of one inferior
that by next June he'd die, oh yeah!
because the tiger would roam.
The little one said: "Oh my goodness I must stay at home!
and every time I hear a growl
I'll know the tiger's on the prowl
and I'll be really safe, you know
the elephant he told me so."
Everyone was nervy, oh yeah!
and the message was spread
to zebra, mongoose, and the dirty hippopotamus
who wallowed in the mud and chewed
his spicy hippo-plankton food
and tended to ignore the word
preferring to survey a herd
of stupid water bison, oh yeah!
And all the jungle took fright,
and ran around for all the day and the night
but all in vain, because, you see,
the tiger came and said: "Who me?!
You know, I wouldn't hurt not one of you.
I'd much prefer something to chew
and you're all to scant." oh yeah!
He ate the Elephant

I must point out that he was 16 when he wrote those lyrics. Therefore not crazy at the time of writing.

Not any weirder than Robyn Hitchcock (who's extremely old, I mean ancient!), and he's not crazy... um...

Then thirteen men with long black heads
All came and stood around her bed
And when the morning light came in
She saw their heads had all caved in
Their brains fell out upon the floor, and crawled away towards the door-
(chorus):
Sleeping with your devil mask is all I want to do,
And when I stop it means I'm through with you!
Yeah, yeah, yeah!

(Excerpt from "Devil Mask" off the "Globe of Frogs" album)

Hows about Cream's "got that rainbow feeling, but the rainbow had a beard." ;D
