I know it's not classical, but I love "Dub Side of the Moon", a reggae remake of the entire Dark Side album. I forget the label, but it's an all-star effort by the "EZ All-Stars". It's an incredible tribute, and a great contemporary reggae album in its own right.

Pink Floyd form class of their own. So genuine as nothing can me similar to them unless it's a copy. No need to say anything about superb quality. Such works can be played in any different approach and remake.

I wish someone would record a Pink Floyd best of albums played by strings only. Do you remember that Metallica best of played with Cellos by Apocalyptica? This is what I mean. It woulfd sound really impressive.
