Jroc's thread got me thinking, whats the best band you've seen live?
For me its probably the Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl just knows how to talk to th crowd I guess. The chilis on the other hand who are said to be one of the best live acts around today (saw them on the same day) were kinda distant, flea (bassist) did all the talking and the singer just pranced around like a proverbial t*t ::)

Bon Jovi last year in Mannheim. Just incredible to see and hear 50,000 people singing along for almost three hours during a beautiful early summer evening.
My friends can't still believe that I've been there all on my own. ::)
I'd really love to see the Foos live, but I don't know when they'll be in Germany the next time.

Surely I will. As longas they're not taking too much money...

Bon Jovi - Hyde Park, London, UK
Slayer AND Slipknot - Hammersmith, London, UK
In Flames & DevilDriver - Astoria, London, UK
were all good but my #1 was:
Slayer & Lamb of God - Astoria, London, UK
Massvie mosh-pit, huge collisions, loads of blood and a few broken bones

THAT'S what I call a night out

Cheers,
Carl out.....

haven't seen much big bands yet...i think Metallica was about the best i've seen so far. Tool on Ozzfest was amazing too! i've seen the Red Hot Chili Peppers once on a festival together with Sting and Roxy Music...the were all ok. ;)

I've been fortunate in that the shows I've been too have all been good. But if I had to pick just one, Green Day/Blink 182 is a nice combination.

Also Kutless was awsome at Lifest!

Jethro Tull, May 1970, Benefit tour, original line-up, Univ of Miami, outdoors, up close.
Jethro Tull, 1971,72, 73, Aqualung, Thick, & Passion tours with full stage antics, Miami, Florida, USA.
Jethro Tull, 1974. No stage antics. Two nights in a row, one with a front row spot. The heaviest Tull sound ever. Black Sabbath shoulda seen this one.
Jethro Tull, c. 1975, Tampa, Florida, stadium concert with 'Tullevision' screens set up.
Sorry guys, I've only seen Tull & Sabbath in concert. Well, maybe a few others, but time sure blurs memory.
Missed: Joplin, Hendrix & Cream in the late '60's on account of gig conflicts. But hey, saw it all at the Doors in Miami in Mar 1969!
Keep on pluckin', y'awl!
