As my previous quiz was obviously far too difficult for you chaps i've decided to make it a little easier for you. All you have to do is guess the name of this musician.

Again the winner gets nothing.

I had hair like that once. I also had a big bushy beard for a time. Fortunately no photos survive.

The photo is from The Beatles rooftop concert in the film, 'Let It Be'. The concert was on January 30, 1969. John Lennon is shown in this photo wearing a shaggy overcoat and playing an Epiphone semi-hollow guitar (look at the pickguard, you can see the Epi logo), and Ringo Starr is in the background on a light tan or natural color set of drums, wearing a bright red coat of some sort. This correct answer is verified by a different-angle color photo in the book "The Beatles", by Bill Yenne, from which most of the details of this reply are also gathered. It was the last public concert the Beatles ever gave, lasting 42 minutes.

Good try Apex but not correct. Compare Woody's pic with a photo of John Lennon taken during the rooftop concert.

Well, now Hagar's spoilt my fun I shall announce who it is.
The singer you see before you is none other than Neil Innes. Aka Ron Nasty of "The Rutles".
Sorry Apex, you sounded so convinced. But it is of course what I expected.

Sorry Woody. I didn't mean to spoil your fun. If that had been my intention I would have posted this.

Very good and I stand corrected. The coincidence of the coat colors certainly are 'misleading'. I now notice something else about the guitar in the pict, the sides are black. Lennon's Epi had natural wood sides matching the front and back.
