Rockandroll forum

I happened across a fledgling forum that is in desperate need of members to liven things up, it covers most all types of music but is in the very early stage of it's existance, I thought I would try to spread the word, for anyone who might be interested in checking it out here is the address http://www.therockandrollforum.com/
To give you an idea of just how new this forum is, I am the top poster with only 9 replies!
The look is similar to the format here at SimV, so it's easy to find your way around.
It's pretty boring over there right now, but I think eventually it will be cool once they get some conversations going and a stronger membership.

Thanks Paz. I'll check it out. I always loved rock & roll plus some of the other categories.

My interest in music is not so keen as it was so I might not contribute.

Went to the site and yes it has potental!
Sorry Paz but you are no longer top poster  ;)
Do you know what the money thingy is?
Also noticed that they have allot of registered members but no-one posts anything, i wonder if that is a seperate page of another site and it is showing people on site elsewhere?

And Hagar I think you'll be a benifit to that site!! You have a vast taste and knowledge of music!!! And they have catagories on everything.
They do lack a "general" and a "site feedback" catagory though.
And I don't know if it is me, but I couldn't edit my post, first time there so still need to do some learning.
I think everyone here needs to join and we can all go over there and raise some "SimV Hell"  ;D
Thanks for the 911, 411, 231 or what ever the hip thing to say is Paz!! Need to brush up on my coolness! ;D

Thanks Fret. My problem has always been mood & attention swings. Whether this is due to my wide range of interests or the reason for it is hard to say. If I'm passionately interested in something I go for it 100%. It was like this with music for something like 35 years. If I lose interest, that's it & I move on to something else, probably in a completely different area. Unfortunately my passion for music has died somewhat over the last few years. The only passion likely to last my whole lifetime is aviation. ::)

I think that whoever set up the site needs to work on a few things, I couldn't add an avatar, I don't know what is up with that.
As far as the low number of posts, I think they just need some help getting some topics going, I noticed only 3 or 4 people had written topics and almost no one replied, that is why I wanted to mention the site here because a lot of us like to discuss music and there are a lot of different musical tastses amongst us. Could be just what that site needs to get things rolling.

No point in me posting anything then. Have you noticed how many of my posts are edited? I would say 99.9%. ::)

I agree. It does need a little work but forums take time to evolve. This one is continually evolving even now after several years. I was rather surprised that although it's called the Rock N Roll forum it covers all types of music. Somebody already queried that. Not that I would object to this but the defintion of Rock N Roll seems a tad hazy. Maybe it's cos I'm older & come from a different background but Rock & Roll to me is the music of the 50s & early 60s. The Beatles were originally a typical Rock & Roll band before they evolved their own style, if they had one style that is.

They currently have 91 registered members. This is different to Users. I'm not a member yet show up as a Currently Active User. You might be correct about the forum being part of another site although I see no reference or link to it..
