The best TV theme show ever is the theme from 'Cheers' without a doubt.  Second best may be 'Mad About You'

But there is always...

Green Acres is the place to be,
Farm livin' is the life for me.
Land spreadin' out so far and wide,
take Manhattan, just give me that countryside.

New York is where I'd rather stay,
I get allergic smelling hay.
I just adore a penthouse view.
Darling I love you, but give me Park Avenue.

You are my wife...
Goodbye city life!

Green Acres we are there!

I did that from memory!!

I read this a day or two ago and have been trying to think of a good TV theme! These are what I came up with:

Tour of Duty (Paint it Black by the Stones)
Star Trek Voyager (Best Trek theme?)
Airwolf (classic TV theme now given a new lease of life as a polyphonic mobile phone ring tone!)
The Itchy and Scratchy Show (Just makes my laugh!)

I haven't had to suffer a television of my own for nearly 30 years now...happy...happy...happy... ;D...!
But..
because of that I listen to the radio all the time.... ;)...!
And..
The most [glb]ANNOYING[/glb] theme of all time to me is "The Archers" theme..."Dum te dum te dum te dum..."
I can now move at the speed of light to switch the radio off before the first note sounds... ;D...!
If I can't make it quick enough I actually count the number of notes I have had to suffer before I finally reach the "On/Off" switch... >:(...!
..and not only that, I have to suffer ENDLESS repeats.. :'(...!
..as for television themes?...errr...30 years ago?...errr...can't remember that far back.... ::)...!
LOL...LOL...LOL...!

Cheers all..!
Paul..."Dum te..."...ZAPP...!

Actually, Star Trek: The Next Degradation's theme was lifted from Star Trek: The Motion Picture.  Out of all of the Star Trek show's, My favorite theme was for Deep Space Nine.  Of course, that is also the most under-rated show of the bunch too...
