So, who can play Stairway? I can only play a few of the first notes.

I'm still in the ultra-early stages, and the books i got are solid. I'm not even gonna atempt this for a long while yet 
Might pick up another tab book soon which is simpler to play, like the offspring or somthing

I'm not going to vote because I used to be able to play it quite well, but I don't really play that much anymore so I'm pretty sure I would suck at it now, although a little while back I was messing around and remembered most of it after a few tries.

Are you guys serious? That is the most basic of intros I've ever heard. It's a slow chord progression repeating itself a few times..

Oh, I've never tried to play it. Finger picking eh? Not my best skill. ;D I never have been able to figure out what the big deal with this song is though.. Maybe it's just me but I've never seen anything special in it.

Yeah, you gotta consider that this song came out in like '72 or '73, at the time this was some serious heavy sh*t, no one had done anything quite like "Stairway" before.

Stairway, and American pie, about the only 2 secular songs that i know how to play well, besides christmas songs... ;D

Well, you know an easy song to play? Off topic I know but, AC/DC's 'Hells Bells', just gotta move two fingers, and the rest are open. And what a great riff that is! I should try 'American Pie'...
