Postby ozzy72 » Sun Aug 24, 2003 1:09 pm

I was just wondering what is everyones favourite one hit wonder?
Mine would be 80s band The Vapors with Turning Japanese, so darned catch but annoying ;D I found it on an old tape of mine the other day and can't stop humming it!

Kopspijkers Team - One day Fly

They tried to prove that if you hype a song in the media you'll get a #1 position in the hitlist, no matter how crappy it is... and they succeded.

It's quite funny if you can understand it (Dutch)

sugarhill gang, rappers delight. one of the greatest songs ever.
there was a program on VH1 top 100 one hit wonders, it was actually scarey how big some of these became, yet how bad they really are looking back on them

another 1 hit wonder  that goes in the Nu-Metalers catogorey is Drowning Pool. . .they did the song "Bodies" which is really catching. . .although they are a current band i think they will stay a 1 hit wonders because they haven't made any new songs that i am aware of since there lead man (and song writer), Dave Williams died. Saw them live in Paris during the music festival. . .was amazing!!
Sincerely,
Me
