Genius, not drugs. Never underestimate the power and creativity of the human mind, especially when the mind belonged to a brilliant, gifted composer like Beethoven.
This reminded me of what Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry said when he was asked if aliens, not Egyptians, had built the pyramids.
“Ancient astronauts didn't build the pyramids. Human beings built the pyramids, because they're clever and they work hard.”
