"I had these dreams that something was gonna' happen, seeing the numbers 1966 in my sleep, so I was just passing time until then". - Jimi Hendrix

On December 9, 1966, Cream's first album, 'Fresh Cream', was released in the United Kingdom. The rock era of the late 60's had begun.

Here's some biggies from 1967, the ones I knew, I'm sure there are others. In those days, news traveled a lot slower. It took awhile for all this to sink in.

> The Doors first album, 'The Doors', January 4, 1967
> Jefferson Airplane: 'Surrealistic Pillow, February 1, 1967
> Jimi Hendrix 'Are You Experienced' May 12, 1967
> May 1967: Cream records Disraeli Gears towards the end of their first US tour.
> The Beatles: Sgt Pepper's June 1, 1967
> June 1967: Monterey Pop Festival. Brian Jones presents the Jimi Hendrix Experience to an
unwary America.
> July 1967 Light My Fire reaches number one in the charts during the last week of july.
> Pink Floyd: The Piper At the Gates of Dawn August 5, 1967
> The Doors: 'Strange Days', September 25, 1967
> Cream: 'Disraeli Gears', November 2, 1967
> Jimi Hendrix: 'Axis Bold As Love', December 1, 1967
> The Moody Blues: 'Days of Future Passed' November 10, 1967
> The Chamber Brothers: 'The Time Has Come', December November 30, 1967
> The Rolling Stones: 'Their Satanic Majesties Request', December 8, 1967
