Anyone going to watch Saturday Night Live?

Postby OldAirmail » Sat Oct 03, 2015 8:30 pm

Personally, I'll be too sick to watch. And if I'm not, I'll shove my fingers down my throat.

Am I being too much of an elitist?

Let me know if it's any good and I may download it tomorrow. It's only an hour once you cut out all of the commercials.

Miley Cyrus - child star - daughter of Billy Ray - now turned virtual porn star .....

She was a very talented young kid (I used to watch Hannah Montana with my daughter some years back) but I'm a bit mystified why she has gone as far as she has in showing just as much of her 'self' as she possibly can for a global audience .....

My bet is that it's some kind of a mental disease where they feel the need to do ANYTHING to get media attention.

Perhaps there's also a feeling that they just can't make it as a regular performer.

I never followed Miley C or Justin B as performers when they were young, but I had the impression that they did ok.

Setting yourself on fire just for attention seems to be the "thing" now - Sexually charged answers on ‘Family Feud’ have viewers fuming.

I have no kids, but what can parents do. This type of stuff is now "normal".

Back when I gave up on TV (twenty odd years ago), I used to feel peer pressure to watch what everyone else was watching & talking about.

And that was when I was in my forties. Can a teen or young adult resist that pressure?

To them, and me when I was that age, TV is the link that they all share.

You could become Amish, but they don't have the internet or flight simulators. :o

BTW - I was out that way a few weeks ago. This Amish farm is the norm, so is the buggy.

And, yes. They do all the plowing with mules and horses.

I've seen a few clips and it's not bad. I may watch the whole thing.

Seems to me that parental guidance, influence and doing what you are told, you are not yet grown up went out the window. I have to say, if she was my daughter, there would have been words said. And as there have been no exclusives in any of the tabloids at Billy Ray's distress as told by a "close friend" I can only assume he is not that bothered.....?

The only thing it leaves my wondering is..................How long before her River Phoenix moment......?

Karen Don't Be Sad was an excellent performance.

Don't diss it until you have seen it.
