Mr. Spock is gone

Postby Apex » Fri Feb 27, 2015 12:36 pm

Leonard Nimoy has passed away at age 83. R.I.P.

I feel a sadness that his Star Trek character, the emotionless Mr. Spock, would not.

In 1966, I was 10 years old, and wrote a fan letter to Leonard Nimoy. I received an 8 x 10 "autographed" version of this publicity pic in reply, from Desilu Studios, one of those boyhood treasures.

Mr. Spock was cool.

Mr. Nimoy has left our plane of existance but the character he potrayed, Mr. Spock, has not...
but a few weeks ago I splurged and got the the first season of the original Star Trek series on DVD for @ $15.

Years ago, when I had video and audio recording apparatus, I faded the series "the Seed" into the Star Trek II motion px so that they were incorporated into the one when I played the resultant VHS (sadly, it was stolen along with all my equipment).

It's more difficult for me now but I can still V my fingers with the Live Long and Prosper...
