King Crimson's 3rd album, with a spectacular cover by artist Gini Barris. Here is the 2nd half of the cover: In the letter "I" you can see the Beatles, with Yoko Ono coming out of the bottle, and the Yellow Submarine in the background. In the letter "N", Jimi Hendrix, Ginger Baker, and Gini’s future husband Dave Wade playing flute.
And look at the airplane in the distance, good ol' Rupert Bear!
Some of the other letters contain illustrations of some of the album lyrics. Peter Sinfield was the lyricist on KC albums 1 2 & 3, maybe some others, I forget. KC's mastermind Robert Fripp played guitar and kept the group's name intact as it went through several changes over the years.
