Tom Magliozzi, Popular Co-Host Of NPR's 'Car Talk,' Dies At 77

Tom Magliozzi, one of public radio's most popular personalities, died on Monday of complications from Alzheimer's disease. He was 77 years old.

Tom and his brother, Ray, became famous as "Click and Clack the Tappet Brothers" on the weekly NPR show Car Talk. They bantered, told jokes, laughed and sometimes even gave pretty good advice to listeners who called in with their car troubles.

Car Talk was the only NPR show worth listening to.

You know, this used to be a helluva good country. I don't understand what's gone wrong with it. - George Hanson, 1969

Yes, the only show worth listening to.

Car Talk - Funny, no politics.

This American Life, Snap Judgment - An hour of monotone droning.

Fresh Air - Lesbian interviews the most boring people in the world.

A Prairie Home Companion - Just shoot me now.

Diane Rehm, any news show - Socialist propaganda at its finest.

LMFAO. Good thing we don't get into politics here or you'd get a Nolan Chart tattooed on your forehead, gramps.

Two subjects that I never discuss, and IMHO should be verbotten in public discourse of any sort: Politics and religion.

Everybody is absolutely convinced they have the only "correct" system/answer/whatever, and any who disagree are, at best, idiotic morons, and at worst, deadly enemies.

And that's why I won't discuss them! :D
Or is this too political?
