Rammstein - Amerika

I dunno. Being an Amerikan American, this song kind of feels like a low blow, but then again, I can't honestly say any of it is false.

The new Rammstein makes me nervous. :-[

Call me foolish, but I think the new "Rammstein" will be well liked.

I dunno. Of course, being an American, I'm not going to love the lyrics to Amerika, and the video for Mein Teil, was, strange. In a dark way.

What I will say, however, is at least the passion is back. The whispering did not work except for a few exceptions in Mutter. With the two songs released from Reise Reise, the whispering is not inhibitive the the power of the songs.

Herzeleid - Muttering, slightly powerful
Sehnsucht - Muttering, very (or at least more) powerful
Mutter - Whispering, no power
Reise Reise - Whispering, very powerful

I make my point with live and recorded versions. Listen to any song live and recorded off the Mutter album, and I bet you the live one will be better, because Till doesn't really whisper live. On the Lichtspielhaus DVD, compare the live Links 2 3 4 song with the album version.

Not to say Mutter wasn't good. All I'm saying is it could've been much better; there just seemed to be a stillness or lifelessness in the songs.

I have high hopes too, but, I dunno.
