I'm a bit of a 70's & 80's rock/metal fan so my top bands are mostly from this period:
AC/DC
Rainbow
Whitesnake (old Whitesnake, not glam Whitesnake)
Dire Starits
Deep Purple
Iron Maiden
Guns 'N Roses

Loads of others that I like such as Aerosmith, Scorpions, Saxon, Black Sabbeth, but the ones above are my top favourites.
