Flippin' Norah, Theis...!

Don't tell me that you actually watched/listened to all that Euro-vision crap.... ;)...!

It's really a Universal Joke introduced by our lovely Terry Wogan, of BBC Radio 2...LOL... ;D...!
...and he knows what a load of dross it is...LOL...!
Tee-Hee...!

Paul... 8)...!

While the Euro-vision Contest was broadcast on the television, I wandered up to the top of my garden and picked my nose...
...much more interesting/entertaining, I found...;D...!
LOL...!

High Final scores: Lordi and the turkish entry (always a good chance when you can send a national top 10 artist that outside your country is only known by the expats, of which there are lots)
Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and [url=http://an24.uw.hu/]An-24RV[/ur

I'll just sit and laugh at Terry taking the pee out of the rest of Europe again this evening. Even better that the one or two serious entries for the UK were voted out in favour of this "Daz" chap and his chavvy little rap... ;D

"United Kingdom, nul points... ;D "

Ken Bruces' rap is much better...

Maybe the reason most Brits watch it. I think some of the other countries take it a tad more seriously. ::)

You have to ask why though.
What does it honestly do to win? Maybe a slight interest for the winner for a few weeks in other countries. After that no-one remembers the winner.

It was an exception to the rule but I seem to remember a certain Swedish group that won when it was held in Brighton. Maybe that was a little before your time. ;)

PS. Olivia Neutron Bomb came 4th.

Abridged summary so far...

Latvia - pleasantly different, apart from the plate headed robot (says Mrs C)...

Spain - desperately hoping Las Ketchup would ditch the act and break into a rendition of the "Ketchup Song (Asereje)"

Germany - mid-eighties (age that is, not era) cross between Dolly Parton and Olivia Neutron-Bomb from down town Alabama...

Danes up next... Just started - oh dear - can't decide whether she's trying to emulate either Abba, Grease, or the Rocky Horror Picture Show...
