Thanks, this was really good.

My 2 second review: "Full Metal Jacket" in Russian.

You know, this used to be a helluva good country. I don't understand what's gone wrong with it. - George Hanson, 1969

Just watched it along with the extras DVD covering making and history of the 9th. One of the best war films I have ever seen. It could be compared as a Russian Full Metal Jacket, but the cinematography in my opinion is much much better then Full Metal Jacket. The only down side is that it is, being a Russian film, subtitled. I got the feeling that a lot was lost in translation. Long sentences of dialogue that end up as a sentence of a few words in the subtitling.......shame. If you have not seen it, you are missing out.

Matt

Edit...Forgot to say, the film only cost $9 million to make.....rather puts Hollywood to shame!

"A bit of a pickle" - British translation: A catastrophically bad situation with potentially fatal consequences.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
