The Sea Duck

Hi all,
I know this sounds really stupid but, my mom and I were having a bit of an argument, what kind of plane is the Sea Duck from the old disney cartoon "TailSpin" based off of.  To me some of the details look too, specific to be made up altogether(ie the boat-hull nose, twin boom tails.)  and to top it off my mom saw one that fits that description this afternoon.  so does anyone have any input?

The Sea Duck isn't actually a real bird, just a cartoon.
But I'd say it sort of looks like an unholy union between a C-119 and a CL-215.

I know, I figured that if it was based on anything it would be a composite of two or three different designs, but this was my moms Idea
