The good ol' days

Postby Hagar » Sat Dec 11, 2004 5:23 pm

I found this site while searching for something else. http://www.brightonbeat.com/

It brings back many fond memories for me. I knew most of these chaps quite well & went to school with one of them, (Bill Smith of the Giants, a brilliant guitarist). Some (like Keith Emerson) went on to become famous & others are still performing now. Unfortunately some have gone to rock 'n roll heaven.

I was also in a group at the time but we were not based in Brighton so don't look for any pics of me. We weren't particularly famous but had plenty of work & did play at some of the venues mentioned. As we were all doing our own gigs at the same time we never saw as much of the other local groups as we would have liked.

Just a little reminder of the happy days of my youth. :D
