Yeah, it's true about the sampling. I think it's kind of sad that no cares about actual musicianship anymore. And what's even more sad is that music (any kind) is more of a commodity these days, instead of something special.
It's like come into Virgin Megastore (or wherever) and bring your i-Pod so you can download this week's hit song that you won't even remember next week.

And the thing about Stinkin Park was great! There is a radio station here that just loves them...plays them every third song or something.
I personally love stuff that is off the beaten path. I listen to stuff that most people in my town wouldn't touch. But then, that's because it's not popular. If Black and/or Death Metal were popular here (instead of Rap) it would be up front and center at Best Buy or Virgin (instead of Rap). But it's the furthest thing from popular, so it's actually amazing that I can go to Best Buy at all and find Dimmu Borgir (Norwegian Black Metal) or other similar things.
Oh well...not popular so more for me!
