Geetar Scales....

Postby Threadkiller » Tue Jul 20, 2004 6:12 pm

hey1 as u all know, i play the axe, but ive been all doin it on my own, no lessons or anything.... so i've managed to play rythm and stuff now i play with these 3 other guys, we play ramones and a bit of everything. anyway. here is my question. the other day iw as jamin with a fried and he made up this face melting solo i couldnt believe!!! wow. soi asked him how he did it. he said that he used scales.... i kinda have the vague idea of whatthey are... they are notes (pluckin one string a ta a time specificaly pressin on a certain fret) that they all kinda belong to the same ggroup i guess u call it. so when played all together they  kinda "rhyme" and sound good. so my question is......

CAN ANY OF YOU GUYS POINT ME ON HOW TO PLAY OR LEARN A BASIC SCALE SO I CAN PULL OFF MY LITTLE SOLO'S TOO??

LINKS TO SITES ARE HELPFULL TOO, ALTHO IVE BEEN UNABLE TO FIND ANY :-[

rock on!

What your looking for is basically whats called TABLATURE.... or TAB for short.. These diagrams show you where to put your fingers.

Stick ...Guitar Tabs... into google and see what comes up.. I found 2,780,000 links .... the first one http://www.guitaretab.com/ has links to online lessons.. youll probably find what your looking for there. If not check out the rest.

have fun
