I finally got around to checking this out. 'The Girl Can't Help It' wasn't just any movie:

from Wikipedia: "The film ['The Girl Can't Help It'] reached Liverpool, England in the early summer of 1957."

Wikipedia goes on to say that the film influenced Paul McCartney, and in turn, John Lennon.

The lady in red is the late Jayne Mansfield, who died tragically in an auto accident on June 29, 1967.

Little Richard's performance, as seen in this video, is excellent, with a really tight band behind him.

Another bit of movie trivia for you:

Mariska Hargitay, star of "Law and Order: SVU" is Jayne Mansfield's daughter. She was 3 1/2 years old when her mother was killed in that car accident. Mariska was in the back seat asleep at the time and escaped with minor injuries including a zig-zag scar on one side of her head. Her two older brothers also survived the crash with only minor injuries.
