40 years ago (1974) Columbia Records had to make a tough decision.
It had a talented kid on board, he had released a couple of albums, but he wasn't profitable.
It told him that his next record had to sell better or it couldn't keep him.
This is what he came up with to keep his job.

EGAD! He is so YOUNG in that vid...
Looks to be about 12!
He sure came up with a winner tho! Can you imagine Coulumbia Records looking back and saying "We nearly fired him!" WHEW was that close!
