I watch with the captions on. And a lot of times I'm doing something else besides, like practicing keyboards, so one dulls the pain of the other.
Yeah, lots of mumbling sometimes, so the captions help. And there's that mute button. That really helps. So the captions along with the mute button make watching less annoying sometimes. I haven't heard a TV commercial in years. And the commercials aren't captioned. How nice.
Now what we need is a mute button in shopping malls and food stores. I just can't figure out why in heck they feel obligated to play music of ANY kind in those places. I passed thru one well known store in a mall last week (it's in the middle of the mall, so you have to go thru it), more than one music source literally blasting away. How does anyone make buying decisions, let alone talk to a salesperson, under those conditions?
They could at least, at least, lower the volume. But noooooo, it's gotta be front row concert level.
Everyone likes different kinds of music, so why bombard us all with stuff we maybe don't like. And I don't like any of what I hear when out there. OK, so how about playing something in malls and food stores that I like. Like Black Sabbath. You can bet if they did that, they'd get a lot of complaints. And when was the last time you heard classical music in malls and food stores?
With TV, you can mute it or just turn it off. But for shopping out, well, I'd just like to shop in silence for a change.
OK, glad I finally got that out.
