Disney's New Movie "Planes"

Postby Hawkeye07 » Fri Aug 09, 2013 11:02 pm

I just saw Disney's new cartoon movie "Planes" this afternoon. For those who aren't familiar with the title it's a spin off of their movie "Cars"
Very enjoyable movie. The little ones should get a big kick out of it. Lots of funny stuff mixed with just enough aviation techojabber to make
it more enjoyable for us big kids. I wish this movie was around about 35 years ago when I was trying to get my son interested in aviation.
A definite must see for any of us with a sense of humor/humour and a love of aircraft.

An Aircraft Mechanic only needs two tools, Duct Tape and WD40.
If it moves and it's not supposed to - use the Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and it's supposed to - use the WD40.

I agree!
Especially when Dusty found himself lost and asking for directions to JFK. ATC gave him a heading to intercept the localizer which he disobeyed and landed anyway. What followed had me laughing out loud.

I just took a look at the trailer for Planes, and I have only one question -
Do you think that we could get Disney to create some ocean textures? :D

OAM I agree! The scenery in the movie as a whole was pretty good but the ocean texture was great. Now how can we lure Disney into the Fltsim market? Hmm

I took the kids to see it this weekend. They loved it! Emi could identify most of the plane types as well and remembered which airshows we'd seen them at! Impressive for a 9 year old girl O0
