Sir John Strange
Here lies an honest lawyer,
And that is Strange.

Here's a few I ran across:

Under this sod our baby lies,
she neither screams or hollers,
She only lived three days,
and cost us fifty dollars.

I told you I was sick!

Here lies Anna Patterson, killed by a lamp filled with dewbury's patented non explosive lamp oil

Here lies John Blake, stepped on the gas instead of the brake.

Wonder why people don't put these on headstones anymore? :)

Tis not for a gravestone, but I always loved this epitaph:
