Posted: Mon Nov 22, 2010 2:25 pmThat one with the ship with oars reminded me of when my step-son was stationed on the USS WASP LHD-1 (amphibious assault ship).
He'd just got back from deployment and was off the coast of North Carolina dropping off the Marines that were stationed at Cherry Point.
He has allot of Marines that are friends. But as with the Navy and Marine Corp. They pick back and forth all the time.
He called me from the well deck near the LCAC's. We talked for a few minutes until he finally said, "Well, we're pulling out, got to go down the the oar deck and beat the drum for the Marine rowers, you know them jar heads can't count."
You could hear a bunch of Marines heckling him and he started cracking up laughing.

Posted: Tue Nov 23, 2010 11:52 amThat guy with the nerf missle launcher is not to far from the truth. Last night my local news ran a piece about kids "souping up" their nerf guns and ammo so you actually have the potential to seriously hurt, or kill somebody with one.
