"You Leave my Firetruck alone!" Benny Hill as the aerodrome fire chief in Those Magnificent Men in their flying machines as an out of control German Biplane chases the crash truck about the field.

"We do ask that you do not run into the propellors as we will be needing them again after you leave." Perky little RAF yoman to comandos disembarking from a recently landed DC-3 during a Nazi air raid in the film "Assault on Malta"

"My engine's on fire! and the day was going so well too." Tom Candy in "My Pal Joe"? (It's been a while since I've seen this film.)

"Great. I'm stuck out here in the hind end of space with a Gung-Ho iguana!" Last Starfighter

Anyone got anymore? :)

Flight 2-0-9'er, you are cleared for take-off.
Captain Oveur: Roger!
Roger Murdock: Huh?
Tower voice: L.A. departure frequency, 123 point 9'er.
Captain Oveur: Roger!
Roger Murdock: Huh?
Victor Basta: Request vector, over.
Captain Oveur: What?
Tower voice: Flight 2-0-9'er cleared for vector 324.
Roger Murdock: We have clearance, Clarence.
Captain Oveur: Roger, Roger. What's our vector, Victor?
Tower voice: Tower's radio clearance, over!
Captain Oveur: That's Clarence Oveur. Over.
Tower voice: Over.
Captain Oveur: Roger.
Roger Murdock: Huh?
Tower voice: Roger, over!
Roger Murdock: What?

From Air America:
Robert Downey JR. "I don't wanna crash twice in one day."
Mel Gibson "Don't worry, I crash better than anyone I know!"

As young as I may be, that has to be the greatest aviation movie of all time.  I wonder if it is available on DVD?

Another from Air America.

Billy Covington (Robert Downey, Jr.): "Excuse me, is that an Uzi?"

Gene Ryack (Mel Gibson): "Hey you know, that would make a great TV commercial, wouldn't it? Excue me, is that an Uzi? Why, yes it is."

BillY: "I can't believe this guy. He says, 'No war in Laos. Take that to the bank.'"

Gene: "Self defense is no laughing matter. That's why, when it comes to number one, I pack an Uzi. Accept no subsitutes."

AWW yes...I would have to say the best aviation movie of all time is "Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines" followed by "Captains of the Clouds" which was filmed right here in Trenton, Ontario.    :)

Another great was the "Battle of Britain"...the music was fantastic as well.

Now the old grey matter is not what it used to be but in the film "Battle of Britain" when the Polish Squadron left their British Squadron Leader behind to go after the Nazis he muttered something and for the life of me I can't remember what it was now...but it was a good line... ;D

Perhaps someone else might remember?   :)

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Quinn Harris: I'm the best god damned pilot you'll ever get.
Robin Monroe: Hah! I've flown with you twice, you've crashed half the time!

Six Days, Seven Nights.

The only romantic comedy I can stand, entirely because of the Beaver.

The DHC Beaver. Not the Anne..  well never mind.

The Right Stuff (1983)

Pancho Barnes: What are you two rookies gonna have?
Gordon Cooper: Rookies? Now hold on, sis. You are looking at a whole new ballgame here now. In fact, in a couple of years, I bet you're even gonna immortalize us by putting our pictures up there on your wall.
[unwittingly referring to the dead pilot memorial over the bar]
Gordon Cooper: What? I say somethin' wrong here?
Pancho Barnes: I tell you, we got two categories of pilots around here. We got your prime pilots that get all the hot planes, and we got your pud-knockers who dream about getting the hot planes. Now what are you two pud-knockers gonna have? Huh?

Strategic Air Command (1955)

Lt. Col. Robert 'Dutch' Holland: You got any kids?
Sgt. Bible: Yep, two. One on the ramp, one in the hangar!
