The other day NOVA ran the episode where some guys were trying to repair and fly out a B-29 that had crash landed in the arttic circle in the late forties. Their supply plane was a caribou and amongst other things they brought in on it was a small buldozer that caused the tires to bulge, (But they managed to take off!)

Tell me about it, you'd think after all the time and effort they put in, they'd make one last check stem to stern to make sure nothing that could cause trouble was loose!
