Well that was my litmus test for that shot. If it can bother you a little bit, then some might really be botherd by it so I removed it out of respect. Sorry for those that saw it.

I love it, its funny, and i use it in a lot of forums where flame wars are going on!

No problem, it's just my opinion after seeing all the effort and struggles these wonderful special people put into things most people take for granted.

That and the simple joy and pride they get out of just competing. Just to be able to run and to be able to run and complete the event and if they win, that's all the more reason to celebrate.

There is nothing more heart warming than to have a smiling face come to you after completing a race and expect the hug they were promised as payment.

I often wondered who was normal and who was mentally handicapped.

It's a shame that word has turned into such a trivial one. I suppose the youth of today just enjoy flipping words on their head. It doesn't so much bother me, but I do question those who say it without anything to back it up. Doesn't seem right to degrade something which is already as stressful to those families as it is.

But yeh, depending on how you looked at that one it did have it's funny and serious side- I suppose that is a summary of humour on the whole  ;)



I don't speak from knowing anyone with retardation, but I do understand that mental ilnesses such as alzheimer's can be really quite stressful for those related. My grandmother has it and she has no idea who I am, what my name is or what relation of hers I am. Horrible to have happen, but yeh... not everyone sees it in the same light as you, so you have to understand that.


It put a smile on my face... if you look at the term in a more modern way, and have been part of those forums you do start to learn that it is really quite true. So many forums have been overun by some complete idiots. I am so happy I have SimV as my slightly more protected haven from the world.
