I did #3 as an adult...lmao.

I was extremely sick on a Thanksgiving holiday in 1977 and had driven to my mom's house for dinner. I was basically suffering with a malaria attack. My temperature was steady at 104 and would spike to 107 when I slept.  :o

I was in the middle of Thanksgiving dinner and nosed over in my plate, couldn't stay awake. My mom made me go to bed at her house and started monitoring my fever. She knew it was 104, but when checked me during the night. The poor woman about went into hysterics when it had climbed to 107. She was about to call an ambulance when I told her to calm down that the fever would go down if I could stay awake. I went to the emergency room to make her happy (but she drove me). She insisted on me staying at her house until the fever broke. This went on for a darn week, before the fever finally broke.  ::)

On a positive note, I lost 25 lbs in about 2 weeks. Luckily, I haven't had another bad attack like that in about 30 years.  ::)
