Who Listens to Senior Citizens?
An elderly couple who'd married shortly after high school, retired and moved back to their old neighborhood. Early on the morning of their sixtieth anniversary, they held hands and walked to their old school. It was unlocked, so they entered, found the old desk where he had carved their names, then started back home.
On their way back, a bag of money fell out of an armored car, practically landing at their feet. He quickly picked it up but, not sure what to do with it, he carried it home. There, he counted the money -- fifty-thousand dollars.
She said, "We've got to give it back."
"Finders keepers," he said, putting the money back in the bag, then hiding it in their attic.
That evening, two FBI men knocked on the door, "Pardon us but did either of you see a bag that fell out of an armored car?"
He said, "No."
She said, "He's lying. He hid it up in the attic."
"Don't believe her," he quiped, "she's getting senile."
The agents turned to question her, "Tell us the story from the beginning."
"Well," she replied, "he and I were walking home from school this morning . . . "
The agents looked at each other and one said, "I guess we're outta here."
