The Lord will provide
Posted: Thu Aug 11, 2005 7:10 pmAs a flash flood is ravaging the area, a man stands in the doorway of his home watching the rising water. A truck stops in front of his house and rescue workers shout for him to get in.
"No Thank you," the man replies, "The Lord will provide."
The truck roars off and two hours later, the water is up to the second story windows. A boat hoves into sight and the people inside call to the man to climb aboard.
"No Thank you," the man replies, "The Lord will provide."
The boat leaves and in another two hours the guy is sitting on the roof as the water swirls around him. A helicopter hovers and the crew yells for the man to grab the rope they're lowering.
"No Thank you," the man replies, "The Lord will provide."
The chopper flies off and in another hour the guy drowns.
Up in Heaven the guy collars God and says angerly "Hey, here I was telling everyone you would provide for me and you let me drown!"
God shakes his head and replies, "Hey, I sent you a truck a boat and a Chopper, what more do you want?"
