Big Joe is Coming
Posted: Tue Aug 02, 2005 11:48 pmso this fella scored a job as a bartender in a local pub, on his first day, the owner was showing him the ropes and giving him instructions on how to do his job...
a word of advice however, he said, if you hear the folks down the street say Big Joe is coming, close down imeadiately and hide
the guy found this advice to be somewhat strange, but decided not to contest his boss's instructions
so later on that day, he had already started working and was serving the regular patrons, when he heard someone down the street yell:
- Big Joe is coming!!!!!
the pub was in total panic, as patrons fleed in fear and the astounded new bartender rushed to close down everything, but not before he felt someone grab him by the neck and throw him all across the room....
this huge mountain of a person stormed his way to the bar, smashing down every chair and table on his way, then slammed his fist on the counter and grunted:
- give me some booze NOW!!!!!
the now completely freightened bartender, still recovering from his flight, stumbled his way to serve him, shaking in fear... he promply made him a drink, trying to avoid any eye contact, in fear of receiving even more pain
the big guy chugged down his drink in just a few seconds, a few moments passed before the bartender built up his nerve to ask him:
- would you like another one, sir?
the guy responded:
- i could stay for one more, but i hear Big Joe is coming
