I love that joke - c'mon Greg, it's not like someone killed the cat on purpose. I showed it too a friend of mine that loves cats - but she didn't laugh either - strange folk.

And yes, I too have had to deal with dead pets and scraping animals off the road, but I can still see the humor in it. I have two cats of my own also and I would also be very sad if they died, but thats life. It would be sick if someone went out and killed the cat for the joke, but I doubt that is the case here. But, oh well, unto each his own.
