Personally, I say that's sort of like trying to find the square root of -1.  Its an unanswerable question.

I agree, one must read it as:

Is the following statement 'true or false'?

This statement is false.


Similar to 'True or False' questions.

So is the following statement a 'True or False' question?

Yes

The root of -1 is 1i. Contrary to its name, imaginary numbers do exist. Its just that the name stuck. Its not a very good name. See below for more info:
