American Tracker

Postby terbert » Wed May 05, 2004 6:15 pm

;)
Back in the nineteenth century, an English tourist visits America. After landing, he books into a hotel, then asks the receptionist where he can find a guide to show him around.
" Go down to the Saloon, you will find one there" he is told.
In the Saloon, he asks the Bartender if he knows a guide. A big rough looking fella is pointed out.
He goes over to the chap and says....."Excuse me, are you a guide"
"Yup" says the fella, " I sure am. In fact I'm the best guide ever was. I'm the best tracker there ever was. I'm the best hunter there ever was. In fact, I'm so good, they even named a knife after me.
"You mean you're, you're, you're Jim B...
"Yup, thats right, fella, Jim Bread"

;D ;D ;D

They named a knife after him.  Bread Knife.  It's a pun(ish).  The man thinks that he is famous because he has heard of the Bread Knife and a Contemporary of his (Bowie) had the Bowie knife named after him.  He is not famous at all.

It's a great explanation of a very bad joke.

Good one Tony. These guys are a tad slow don't you think? ;) Maybe they're not used to puns although I'm not sure it is a pun. ??? :P
I liked it anyway whatever it might be. LOL ;D 8)

It's a great explanation of a very bad joke.

Nice attempt Will. It rather spoils the joke if you have to explain it. ::)
