World War Two

Just outside London during WW2, was a fighter station, Northolt, where the Polish squadran were based. Next to the base, was Northolt village. One day, the vicar of Northolt arranged a meeting of the Women's Institute in the church hall and invited a few pilots to attend.
After the formalities, the vicar invited Pilot Officer Vladosky up on stage to give his account of the Battle of Britain. The invitation was accepted.
Vladosky stood up on stage. "Only this morning was I patrolling over London in my Spitfire when a fokker came at me from the left. I turned, fired my guns...Ratatatattatat...down he went in flames. Then another fokker came from the right..Ratatatatatat..I shot him down too. Then a third fokker came from the front..."
At this point, the vicar stood up and said "Ladies, I think I should point out that a fokker is a type of aeroplane"
"Yes" said Vladosky, "These fokkers was Messershmitts"
