I was thinking about famous last words in class this morning, and I have come out with some pretty good ones over the years...

Watch this! - always a prelude to one of my more spectacular balls ups.
Hang on the fun's about to start - as I rolled my Mazda at 50mph.
Of course its the black wire - before blowing myself across the room, and realizing my father had no idea about wiring or safety!
Of course its safe to cross - before a 4 tonne truck went over my foot (thank goodness for steel toe caps!)
This is an easy route - before falling off the climbing wall and tearing all the ligaments in my ankle.
Safety helmets are for girls! - woke up in hospital with a fractured skull and concussion from being hit on the head by a piece of falling rock the climber above me had dislodged.

However the greatest goes to an officer in the Royal Green Jackets who whilst on jungle training forgot to sweep the area before answering his 'call of nature' told everyone 'of course its safe' and sat on a scorpion! He couldn't be evacuated until the next morning, by which time one buttock was enormous and bright red! V.funny for everyone else.

You're better off being near me according to my climbing chums, as if the accident is going to happen, then it'll happen to me not them.... Irish logic I guess?
