this fellow had a cat and a dog...
he took good care of the dog, fed it, took it out for walks...took care of medical expenses....so the dog thinks, this man takes such good care of me and thinks....he is god.....
again, the cat is so well taken care of...well fed, pampered, sleeps with him in the bed....so the cat thinks, this man takes such good care of me....and thinks, i am god

Dogs have masters...cats have staff.

That is definitely the difference between cats and dogs. I have had both and it describes them perfectly.
