What are you laughing at?

Windows

Postby Tug002 » Sat Sep 22, 2018 8:00 am

Last year I replaced all the windows in my house with those expensive, double-pane, energy-efficient kind.
Today, I got a call from Home Depot who installed them. The caller complained that the work had been completed a year ago and I still hadn't paid for them.
Helloooo,........... just because I'm a Senior Citizen doesn't mean that I am automatically mentally challenged.
So, I told him just what his fast-talking sales guy told me last year -- that these windows would pay for themselves in a year---
Hellooooo? It's been a year, so they're paid for, I told him.
There was only silence at the other end of the line, so I finally hung up.
He never called back. I bet he felt like an idiot.

Keep smiling
Tug :)

haha...one's got to be careful of what one says, especially these days......living up north and on the corner of a busyish street, although in a small village, we had installed triple glazed windows....best thing we ever did, for sound and heat retention....guess they should have paid for themselves in six months :D

I love it when a plan comes together.
I am thinking of selling dehydrated rocks.
Just add water.

I've frequently had the same thought, except for dollars and cents/sense and it wasn't for the Acme washing machine.
There is something more boggling in my last store visit, however: quite a number of items with large "SPECIAL" sale tags, BUY TEN FOR $10; I lift the tags to check the regular price... $1 (each). I considered putting ten in my cart and waiting to see if anyone else put ten of them in their cart, rushing in line ahead of them and telling the clerk I insisied to purchase them at the regular price; I expected it to be too much a wait for a 10-item purchaser and too much a hassle to return the items right after purchase.

Hmn... if you add unfiltered apple juice instead of plain water, will you have hard cider?
