Jumping out of a perfectly serviceable aeroplane, never did make any sense to me..... ....

...only our Ozzy72!.... ;) ...!

(He's also into; "mountain climbing"...another very dangerous occupation....

...not to mention flying inverted under Golden Gate Bridge in the Flight Sim!).

I try not to do; "daft things" nowadays!

Paul.... ... ...!

My only use for "Bungees" is to stop stuff falling off the back of my Bike!

...(and sometimes to keep my trousers up)...

Paul... ...!

MEXiCAN WiNTER at Puerto Escondido, Fozzer: jumping out of a perfectly sound aircraft is for opening a personal Soft Wing Glider (miscalled "parachute": things have evolved since Leonardo da Vinci!! but not the language) with turn and brake control togles, ones legs acting as landing gear (& sometimes, knees & hands are used as skis) when the ground catches up. As with any aircraft, be carefull about stalls, or stall at GROUND LEVEL. Front winds are preferable (unless you are a jogging fanatic!!). I have 30 skydives only :shifty: This scenes are from New Years Skydive Boogie at Zicatela DZ in Puerto Escondido:

A beginer Skydiver starts in a Tandem as passenger in front position, that long beach below is Zicatela

First Tandem landing at Zicatela Beach

After the Tandem, two instructors stabilize the beginer, learning to use hands & legs as CONTROL SURFACES in a 90º angle flight, at 200 km/h (120 ml/h)

A third canopy is flying low over the ocean in a clear day, close to Zicatela Beach

Afternoon landing at Zicatela Beach

Sex might be second to Flight but NEVER POOR!! Better than Prozac, Fozzer!!

I have a couple of questions on behalf of us older Brits.

1. I have a 'budgie". How high do l have to jump for it to be fun?

2. I also own a tandem, but the tyres are flat. Does it matter?

A Tandem without a Pump? That's like an aircraft without wings

A "budgie" is like a small parrot otherwise known as a "budgerigar" .
Some Brits (British) keep them as a pets in cages.

In the first shot of the tandem jump I couldn't help but notice their noses .

What happens if a bug goes up your nose at 200 kph ?

On a Motorcycle you are facing FORWARD & moving FORWARD. Not so in free fall (I call it Free Flight) you are facing FORWARD, usually towards something like a mountain, here in Morelos State that would be the Popocatéptl Volcano, as to have a reference point & stabilize (like a temporary North Star, or heading) BUT you are moving DOWNWARDS. When we are in "arch position" (Box Position) we make the bottom of a teardrop of air that moves with us, you can have your cheeks flapping in the breeze, but you breathe normally under no air presure whatsoever. The Goggles or glasses are fixed over our eyes with a loose rubber band. Bugs do not fly that high, eagles & hawks do: they love to dive with us in formation.

That reminds me.
My Beagle use to chase people on a motorbike.
So we had to take the motorbike off him.
Now he chases people in running shoes.
You can guess the rest!
