Back in the 1970's we had a TV series called "Barnaby Jones" starring Buddy Epsen as a retired private detective who comes out of retirement to solve numerous cases. In one episode one of the suspects keeps jabbering away until he pretty much convicts himself. When Barnaby Jones confronts him with the evidence to suspect asks him how he knew? Barnaby replies in his typical, laid back Southern style " My Daddy always told me to never overlook an opportunity to keep my mouth shut."

Like Fozzer, I've been rather candid over the years and have gotten in hot water for it numerous times. So now I try to remember Barnaby's profound quote.

Here's a bit of movie trivia for those old enough to remember the original movie "The Wizard Of Oz" starring Judy Garland. Buddy Epsen was cast as the original Tin Man but he had to give up the role when he discovered he was allergic to the silver face paint.
