Here's a sorry tale that falls right in line with this cartoon. About Oct. 03 I walked into the local big retail chain DIY and hardware store (Menards) and I couldn't believe my eyes. The "seasonal" display area was decked out for Christmas with trees, lights, plastic Santas of every description and tree trimmings galore. All right next to the Halloween display area. It was still four weeks until Halloween and the blood suckers already had the Christmas stuff on display! Un-fricken-believable!!

I hear you, it seems to me that the displays go up earlier every year . Soon they will just leave them up year round so the other store won't beat them to the draw That being said it will sure thin out the baby deer population
