Navy rules

I came across this and had to share, it appears that when pilots landed on the wrong carrier the deck crew would be allowed to graffiti the plane... this guy must be related to Mr. Magoo!

OK true story time again!
While I was with a squadron on-board the U.S.S. Eisenhower back in 1980 one of "our" F-14 jocks mistakenly landed on the U.S.S. Independence which was in fairly close proximity during our little war games with the Indy's task force. We could never figure out how you can mistake a nuke carrier for a fossil burner but he did. The next day when he trapped back aboard Ike his aircraft was graffiti-ed just as bad as the one in the picture. Guess who had to clean it up? The pilot and RIO did. Couldn't pawn that one off on the enlisted pukes. I actually saw them scrubbing their butts off down on the hangar deck and their squadron Maintenance Officer was right there keeping an eye on them.

Not a carrier story, but just as good............The 1F Sqn Harrier T2 that got painted pink by the French.... :lol:

So the french turned Harrier into Harriet. Now that's just cold! :lol: :lol:
