I have avoided strenuous activity all of my life, why would I change now :D that is why the bike that I ride has an engine and no pedals. I would rather twist my throttle than pedal my butt down the street. About the most strenuous thin that I do is walk to where I keep it parked. :D As far as air polution goes I guess that I am a little gassy at times but it to passes

Keep smiling
Tug :)

I find that; "Resting" occupies most of my time, day and night...and any time in between.

No point in wearing-out my various joints unnecessarily!

Paul...wake me up at Tea-time....and don't make too much noise.... :sleeping-sleeping: ....!

I recently heard about a scientific study that claimed a person gained 6 months life expectancy by jogging.

I thought about this as I watched some of the neighbors doing their jogging warmups and I started doing the math.
If you jog every other day of the month that equals 15 jogging days. Now most people don't just walk out the door and
start running down the street. They do some stretching exercises and warm ups prior to their run. Afterwards most
folks (I hope) do a cool off period and then shower and change into clean clothes. Let's say this averages a total of 2 hours
each jogging day and I think this is a bit of a low side estimate.

So now let's look at the long range picture.

15 jogging days per month
2 hours for warmup/jog/shower/clothes change
30 hours spent per month X 12 months = 360 hours per year for warmup/jog/shower/clothes change
360 hours X 50 years ( say you start as a teenager and continue until you're 65 and your ankles give out)= 18,000 hours.
18,000 hours ÷24 (hours in a day) = 750 days
750 days ÷ 30 (days in a month) = 25 months
25 months - 6 ( number of months gained by jogging) = 19 months

So in reality you have wasted 19 months of your life expectancy by jogging. :naughty:
