Paul, I know that you don't like cats all that much, but don't try to chase it out of your yard.

With that urban type setting and with peoples fondness for dog/cat doors to allow their pets to come and go as they please. Can you imaging the looks if the mountain lion had come in during the night and used the cat box......

I can also imagine if they didn't have a doggy door and the cat box had an expectantly larger burial. I would assume to level of sobriety of the husband would have been in question after his night out with the boys.

Either way someone's got to dump the box.....

I didn't do any waving when I knew they were about; besides, during the last encounters I was a fair size match for the male (I lack a bit in the claw and dental departments, however). Although it's been long said that eastern cougars are extinct, I saw the first when I was 5, the 2nd when I was 15 (a young one that paced me to the top of the hill; I was on bicycle) and the last two (the female a couple times, male and female the last time) about 13 years ago on the route I sometimes walked to work (5 miles to my old jobsite, night shift). One of our forest rangers reported seeing one up north a couple years ago. They normally are about in the late evening and, thus far, seem to be somewhat human-shy.
