I call it the "Throne of Contemplation"; I've often wondered how many of the worlds greatest thinkers came to their earth shattering decisions while in the deep thinker mode squatting on the throne.

These are all very funny except the Euro floor toilet. If you've ever used one of those you know that the elevated seat and funnel is a big improvement.

As for the rest, the plumber doesn't decide where the fixture is located, or the position of privacy partitions, or the size and shape of the room in which those items are located.

The architect or designer decides that when the plans are drawn. The plumber positions the rough waste lines to receive the fixture according to the plan.

There are a few there that look like the result of a handy man remodel - without benefit of permit or inspection. Nearly all of them are in violation of all plumbing and building codes I'm familiar with.

In a pressing social emergency any one of them would look good!

Well, now, don't I feel daft after seeing that last one. The time, money and material I could have saved. With the seat in the down position, the door clipped it; I went through the process of rebuilding the doorway, moving it over about six inches. Of course, I may have added a flap to cover the 'peephole' effect* of the slot cut in the door...
but then, in my case, repositioning the the seat as the one above would have sufficed if one didn't mind the flanks on porceline.

*I must comment on my goof: I originally missed the 2nd 'p' -- thus rendering "peehole" effect; use whichever term suits...
